On an average day, 3 people die of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and another 23 are treated for brain injuries at New Jersey hospitals.
Helmets are the single most effective safety device available to reduce brain injury or death from bicycle crashes. In fact, if you are under the age of 17, the
State of New Jersey requires that you wear a helmet while riding a bike. Bones heal, brains don’t! Be smart and wear your helmet.
